Shot in 2025, this is my take on Flamingo from an angle most people never bother to look at. Instead of photographing the sculpture as an object, I treated it as a piece of geometry inside a bigger geometric world. The steel curves, the rivets, the sharp lines, everything starts to merge with the grid of the surrounding buildings. It becomes less about the sculpture itself and more about how it interacts with Chicago’s architecture.
This perspective turns the whole Plaza into one big composition of shapes. That’s what I wanted here: to show how Chicago isn’t just a city of buildings, it’s a city of intentional design, repetition, and structure.
Prints are limited editions:
16×24 inches (Edition of 5)
20×30 inches (Edition of 5)
24×36 inches (Edition of 3)
After these editions sell out, the image is permanently retired from printing. Only two Artist Proofs exist beyond these editions. Every print is made on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta, signed, and accompanied by a registered Hahnemühle Certificate of Authenticity. Prints are sold unframed. Shipping available within the US and Mexico.
This piece works especially well in modern, minimal spaces, places that appreciate bold lines, structure, and a strong architectural presence.
