The Water Tower

from $250.00

Captured in 2025, this photograph places the historic Chicago Water Tower at the center of the frame, one of the few structures that survived the Great Chicago Fire and still stands as a symbol of endurance in this city. In front of it, a CTA bus cuts through the scene in a blur, a streak of motion that speaks to the rhythm of contemporary Chicago.

That contrast is what pulled me into this frame. The stillness and texture of the stone tower against the fast, modern movement of the city. Old Chicago and present-day Chicago sharing the same moment.

These prints are produced in strictly limited editions:

16×24 inches (Edition of 5)
20×30 inches (Edition of 5)
24×36 inches (Edition of 3)

After these editions sell out, the image is permanently retired from printing. Only two Artist Proofs exist beyond these editions. Every print is made on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta, signed, and accompanied by a registered Hahnemühle Certificate of Authenticity. Prints are sold unframed. Shipping available within the US and Mexico.

This piece fits beautifully in spaces that appreciate architectural history, urban storytelling, and the tension between permanence and movement.
