The Berghoff

from $250.00

Captured in 2025, this photograph highlights one of Chicago’s most iconic neon signs, The Berghoff. The glowing letters, the vintage typography, the reflections bouncing off the glass buildings across the street, all of it speaks to the history and character of this landmark restaurant. It’s a piece of Chicago that has survived trends, construction booms, and generations of diners.

I wanted to photograph it from an angle that emphasized both the sign and its surroundings. The modern glass façade behind it creates a contrast between old and new, tradition and contemporary architecture. The reflections add another layer, turning the scene into a mix of light, texture, and memory.

These prints are produced in strictly limited editions:

16×24 inches (Edition of 5)
20×30 inches (Edition of 5)
24×36 inches (Edition of 3)

After these editions sell out, the image is permanently retired from printing. Only two Artist Proofs exist beyond these editions. Every print is made on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta, signed, and accompanied by a registered Hahnemühle Certificate of Authenticity. Prints are sold unframed. Shipping available within the US and Mexico.

This piece fits well in spaces that appreciate Chicago’s history, vintage signage, and the blend of old and modern design.
