Captured in 2025, this photograph is one of the cornerstones of my collection Chicago: City Beautiful. It’s the piece that defines the project. The bridges of Chicago have always been the true skeleton of the city, steel, engineering, geometry, and history all welded together, and this image is my homage to that legacy.
I framed it through the lower arch of the bridge structure to place the viewer inside the steel itself. The rivets, the lines, the repetition, the texture of the grated deck, everything here speaks the language of Chicago’s industrial backbone. And right through the center, a single person walks across the river, small against the scale of the structure yet essential to the story. It’s the relationship between people and the architecture that holds the city together.
This is the image that brought the whole collection into focus for me. It carries the weight, the rhythm, and the honesty of what I see when I walk this city.
These prints are produced in strictly limited editions:
16×24 inches (Edition of 5)
20×30 inches (Edition of 5)
24×36 inches (Edition of 3)
After these editions sell out, the image is permanently retired from printing. Only two Artist Proofs exist beyond these editions. Every print is made on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta, signed, and accompanied by a registered Hahnemühle Certificate of Authenticity. Prints are sold unframed. Shipping available within the US and Mexico.
This piece anchors any space that values architecture, structure, and a deep connection to Chicago’s identity.
