Down the River

from $250.00

Captured in 2024, this photograph looks at the Chicago Riverwalk from above, framed intentionally through the rails of one of the bridges. The lines and angles do most of the work here, the geometry of the walkway, the textures of the river, the shadows cutting across the scene. Chicago’s riverfront has become one of the city’s most important public spaces, and I wanted to show it from a perspective most people never stop to notice.

Shooting through the bars let me play with layers. The city becomes a composition of shapes: the water, the pavement, the railing, and the people walking through it. Everything lines up in a way that feels almost architectural, even though it’s just a simple moment on an ordinary day.

These prints are produced in strictly limited editions:

16×24 inches (Edition of 5)
20×30 inches (Edition of 5)
24×36 inches (Edition of 3)

After these editions sell out, the image is permanently retired from printing. Only two Artist Proofs exist beyond these editions. Every print is made on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta, signed, and accompanied by a registered Hahnemühle Certificate of Authenticity. Prints are sold unframed. Shipping available within the US and Mexico.

This piece fits well in modern, design-focused spaces, rooms that appreciate structure, contrast, and a strong sense of place.
